Why Cape Coral…

Magnificent waterfront buildable lots on 400 miles of canals—1/4 of them saltwater leading to the Gulf of Mexico and its tributaries and bays, or to the Atlantic Ocean through the Okeechobee Waterway via the Caloosahatchee River.
The availability of thousands of off-water building sites in the Cape’s 114 square mile area.

A population of over 152,400 with growth averaging 25 persons a day, it is expected to double in size in the next 15 years.

Exceptional climate conditions with sunny 78-88 degree days the norm from November to May.
Cape Coral is surrounded by some of the best beaches in the world, some right at our doorstep.

It offers a proliferation of golf courses, located throughout the city.
Boating, fishing and watersport opportunities are endless, whether from your own dock or from a host of private marinas throughout the city, including deepwater accommodations for boats as large as 70 feet at Tarpon Bay, to the Yacht Club at Redfish Point–one of the Cape’s original landmarks.

Cultural attractions, art and entertainment abound; shopping and dining are available for every taste from casual to formal to eclectic.

Careful planning has made Cape Coral the choice for families, with it’s median age of 44. It’s award winning public, private and charter schools now serve more than 17,000 students, with more schools already in planning. Cape Coral is also one of the safest cities of its size in the United States, according to crime statistics. And it has a state of the art medical center already in place.

Travel to anywhere in the world is as close as Southwest Florida International Airport just minutes away in Fort Myers.

“Cape Coral—It’s Just Paradise!” That’s the way we see it. Come see us and we’re sure you will agree!

Cape Coral, Florida has a hospital. Cape Coral has many medical professionals operating in a variety of specialties. Fundamental healthcare begins with an individual or family?s access to a general physician, call it a family doctor or for children, a Pediatrician and for women a Gynecologist. Certainly, for people like me, a good therapist; better yet, a Psychiatrist! But why is it that someone in Cape Coral, Florida cannot locate a physician that will take new patients?
CityBlog Cape Coral, was struck by the frustration that was apparent in Susie Pena’s (a Cape Coral, Florida resident) post on May 9, 2007, which read as follows:
I have been here 1 year this June and have yet to find a doctor that will accept new patients. I am very discouraged that there is no avenue for new residents to find out who is available without a lot of labor intensive efforts.
Does Cape Coral have a physician association or, does the hospital know of new physicians coming into Cape Coral that are looking for new patients? It would behoove all communities to have some centralized service that maintains a list of physicians who can accept patients as either “new” or on a rotating basis until the new resident can establish regular healthcare.
